Who is this Photobat guy?

Alan Moyle is a photographer working amongst the natural beauty of Launceston, in Tasmania. His mastery of capturing great moments has lead him to become recognised for his work throughout Australia and the UK. After hitting the world with a degree in scientific photography, Alan’s path has lead him to many interesting and exciting places.

Alan started out by “borrowing” his father’s camera and eventually moved to Melbourne to study Scientific Photography at RMIT. After 4 years of hard service in the photographic environs of Uni, Alan emerged with a first class honours degree. From then, Alan began using all the technical skills that he learnt at University applying them to the world of wedding and portrait photography with spectacular results.

Alan’s folio includes an impressive list of some of the world’s top comedians, musicians and even a couple of politicians, see the galleries for examples of his images . These well known faces sit amongst his folios of private commissions by everyday families who have discovered his talent for capturing life’s special times with images that become treasured family possessions.

Alan has won many Australia and International industry awards in a variety of photographic fields including wedding, landscape, documentary and portraits. (See the awards gallery for more information.) Alan has also felt the pressures on the other side of the photography awards, having judged state awards in Tasmania and Victoria. In 2006, Alan gained the level of Master of Photography with the Australian Institute of Professional Photography.

He is happily married to his fantastic and talanted wife Vikashni and they have a dog (Kaba who is good) and two cats (Kooshan who is bad and Bitey Mouse who is cute)!

He has a soft spot for bad movies, good music and cheese. And he still has his Dad’s camera.
