I had he great pleasure of taking some very fun shots of the Bremner family a few weeks ago (yes, i know i’m behind on my blogging, i’m working on it) Michael and Caroline and the kids Lauchie, Dylan, Brooke and Zoe. Initially we were all going to head to the park but then decided somewhere a little different would be much more fun.
Michael and Christine won this session and credit toward prints at the Spring Africa Ball.
We all had alot of fun running up and down the alley and got some amazing photos that really bought out everyone’s personalities.
More blog posts on the way, trust me, i mean it this time!
I just had a whirlwind few days in Melbourne, 1 comedian shoot, 1 wedding and one assisting at another wedding… all will be revealed in the next week…. this is the teaser shot from my Tripod shoot. Mu apologies to everyone in Melbourne, there was no time to catch up with anyone.
I spent quite a bit of time working on my weddings during the off season., I really wanted to get some new products in my range and the from listening to comments and feed back have added a couple of new products.
Firstly, the new Pano Album
I am always working on new things for my wedding albums, and really wanted a panoramic style album but the manufacturer i use didn’t make them. So I worked with them to manufacture this special sized album, 10 inches tall and 16 inches wide. It adds a whole new level to the design aspect of the albums with more space to layout images. Thje album is priced the same as my large album and is still fully customisable with cover materials, matt types and embossing and photo covers.
The next new product is the 4up Proof Books
I have had a few requests for bigger photos in the proof book, so I now offer an upgrade to a 4 per page proof book. All still laid out on an A4 size book with a hard cover. This book now offers greater clarity of images so you can see more of what is happening in the images and also good for older family members who may be a little hard of seeing. The book is available as an upgrade to the standard 9up proof book that comes with every wedding coverage.
If you are interested in more info on either of these products, fill out the contact form and i’ll get back to you.
My bags finally arrived, all 500 of them. So now when your order it ready you can pick take it home in your snazzy Photobat bags. Now i just have to figure out where to put the boxes…
Amy and Baden flew in from Coomera in Queensland for their Tassie wedding. Amy grew up in Launceston and met Baden was in town a few years ago. Flash forward to last Saturday and the wedding with many guests traveling from the Mainland down for the wedding.
Amy’s hair was done by her aunt at her place before heading off to Absolute Beauty for the make up. The hair and make up looked fantastic.
The boys, who were feeling a little worse for wear after their couple of drinks the night before, had a big breakfast (and some more drinks) at the Royal on George before heading off to get ready at the Grand Chancellor.
Amy got her frock on and final touches at her Mum and Dad’s house in West Launceston. I was a little obsessed with Billy the Jack Russell in his little bowtie!
At 3 pm the main event took place with the ceremony at the Gorge, officiated by Barb Youd. In typical Gorge fashion the peacocks made an appearance during the ceremony, both in person and by way of loud peacock noises.
Everyone was a little worried about the weather, thunder storms aren’t the best forcast for a wedding day, but by the time the ceremony started the sun was out in full force, I think many of the guests couldn’t believe it was Tasmanian weather.
We had some photos in the Gorge and then by the Tafe builings before heading to the Cataract Bistro for the reception which included a cupcake cake and personalised wedding stubbie holders!
I’m sure the night was massive and I hope everyone had a great time and can mostly remember what happened! Congratulations again Amy and Baden!
I’m a bit happy to announce my first awards from America! I entered the Wedding and Portrait Photographers International Semi Annual 8×10 print awards and recieved 3 Accolades of Excellence. All for wedding shots taken last season, including Gerry, Renne and Nathan in front of the Apple Crates and the shot of Georgie and Garth crossing the road. See below for all the winning photos.
Michael asked Christine to marry him in Tasmania and they both decided to drag all their family and friends from all over the country for their Rosevears Wedding.
After a frantic morning of golf and hairdressing all the bridal party converged on the apartments at Rosevears Estate to get ready. I’d never been in the apartments before and was in love with them as soon as I walked in, such great light.
After the ceremony we had some photos about the Cellar Door and then headed off to Exeter to a great industrial background. Then off to the Rosevears Tavern for a drink with the rest of the wedding guests. We also drapped Christine all over a cool car that was in the carpark, the owners we loving it!
Then back to the vineyard for a few more photos in the vineyard.
This last shot was taken just after I had said my goodbyes and was just heading out the door. Christine dropped onto the couch to have a little rest. I got Michael to get there too, lay down in the toilet opposite and got this great shot to end the day.
Congratulations Michael and Christine on such a fantastic day and an amazing wedding. I look forward to catching up with you once you get back from you European adventure!
Ben loves his cars. It all started with her grandparents buying him a matchbox car and has now become a little bit of an obsession. When I have a portrait planning session I always always suggest to bring one of the child’s favourite toys, in this case I got them to bring all the cars. And Ben knows what they all are!
A little bit of rain meant that we had to fun into the bandstand, where Ben received a phone call.
I love the shot above, Ben is clearly the main subject but you can make out his parents and grandparents in the background. My kind of shot.
I met up with Danelle and Pete a cople of weeks for a little exploring and portrait work on the boardwalk out to Tamar Island, one of the many fantastic natural locations about Launceston. We had a great time Pete and I picking in Danelle, Danelle and I picking on Pete and then Danelle and Pete picking on me!
