What is Photobat?
Hello, my name is Alan. I take photos. Next to me is Vikashni, she makes the business tick. Over there is Saffron, she is crawling around on the floor and looks cute.
Way back in 2001 I started to take some photos and get paid for it. 10 plus years later and hundreds of wedding and portraits later I’m still doing it. I find photography is an addiction and it’s had me hooked for much longer than 10 years. Over that time I’ve had nice people send me all over Australia and even overseas to shoot their weddings and I’ve loved every moment of it. It’s not just the photos I’m addicted to, it’s also the great people who have entrusted me to capture one of the biggest days of their lives. I’m still in touch with many of these people and have now photographed the new additions to their families.
Outside of photography world I’m also a husband and father. Vikashni, my wife, also works in Photobat and is pretty smart and beautiful. She is the one who keeps Photobat ticking and I met her when she booked me for a portrait. The canvas she bought from that first shoot now hangs in our bedroom. Saffron my baby girl likes to spend most of her time laughing and playing. If I’m not shooting a wedding, you can find me playing with her. We also have some little fur children, Kaba a little black fluffy dog, Kooshan a fluffy naught cat and Mouse a fraidy cat who is scared of everything.
We love to go for Sunday drives, jump on airplanes, explore and generally spend too much on coffee and cake. Plus we make a mess in the kitchen but the results are always pretty good especially the curries. If we go into a book store we come out with more than one book, our excess luggage fees have reduced significantly since Boarders has closed down.
